DEP in machining techniques or a DEC in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience?
Two (2) years’ experience as a conventional machinist OR other similar experience
Good knowledge of measuring instruments

Compliance with OHS and quality standardsREXFAB is recruiting a Conventional Machinist for our full-time evening shift, offering 40 hours a week of rewarding opportunities. Our regular evening schedule is Monday to Thursday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.

What does this job involve?

Playing a key role in machining operations, this position involves operating conventional machines, calculating dimensions, feeding material, adjusting parts, inspecting to ensure quality, and complying with occupational health and safety standards. This job also involves reporting non-conformities to a production manager.

What will your daily life look like?

  • Operate conventional machines (e.g. lathe and milling machine)
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings to understand workpiece specifications
  • Calculate dimensions, speeds and tolerances of components to be machined
  • Feed material to machine, adjust and assemble/dismantle parts using hand tools
  • Rigorously inspect parts to verify machining quality
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas
  • Apply various occupational health and safety standards
  • Any other task required to support the production team

Are you the person we’re looking for ?

  • DEP in machining techniques or a DEC in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
